Auto Ordnance .45 ?'s

I saw a real nice Auto Ordnance in a local gunshop a copule of days ago.Looked real good and clean,didn't get a chance to actually handle it though.
Do any of ya'll know anything about these pistols as far as quality
accuracy etc.I know the Thompsons are great but don't know jack
about the 1911/.45 clones they make.

    At one time Auto Ordnance 1911 clones were not as well made as most others. I get a sense that maybe the quality has improved somewhat since then, but if this gun was made in the mid-eighties you may find it needs some smithing in order to become a reliable shooter.

    My advice is avoid pre Kahr made ones. They used to be really poor quality, but ever since Kahr Arms bought them out they've really improved. I'd say stay away from used ones, but the new ones are really nice.

    If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

    Just by looking at it,It looked like a pre Kahr piece,so I think I'll avoid taking it home with me.
