Looks like you like mopars. My assistant manager has a 68 Charger.Dark green,383,4v,727.A real nice car. This is real strange one,the owner of my company bought a new Superbird when they first came out.The strange thing was he ordered a slant six for the engine for the car, then let his daughter drive it to school for awhile.Finaly took back to the race shop, pulled out the slant six,put in a 426 hemi, and welded in a roll cage, and went racing.I would have never thought you could get a slant six in such car until i saw the pictures of it.

    Evil,
A slant six in a SUPERBIRD? You really had me going. I would like to see GLOVER'S report. Like my 1954 Vette w/original 502" crate motor.

Ain't nuthin wrong with them slant sixes. They are pretty much indesructible. They ran a few stock cars in thier day also.

Guns, Mopars, Harleys, RC, and little chocolate donuts. Now there's a combination.

Hey Pig, I had a '62 Polara 500 in 1967. White with red trim and red and white bucket seat interior. Pushbutton Torqueflite with 383 four barrel and factory dual exhaust. I bought it in May of '67 for 1200 bucks. It had 42,000 miles on it.

Man, would I love to have it back.

I've also owned over the years:
    '64 Dodge Polara 500 convertible, 383 Torqueflite
    '66 Plymouth Satellite, 383 Torqueflite
'68 Plymouth Barracuda Formula "S" coupe, 340 Torqueflite (bought new)
'69 Plymouth Satellite Sport, 383 Torqueflite

I'd give up my first-born to have any one of them back.

    101AIRBORNE-
The Slant Six Superbird story is a true one.The car was bought by Dick Bown, father of Chuck, and Jim Bown well known stock car racers.Dick Bown was a Nascar champion himself.Raced all the big names in the 50s,60s,and 70s.There is film on the internet of Dick racing a Superbird, and blowing everybody away.
I have worked for Dick for 21 years, and have never seen him to be a bragger,or a liar. His daughter Sheri is the one that drove the car to school with the bent 6 motor. As far as Your 54 Vette, are you saying you took out the tri carb.235(my favorite engine of all time)and put in a Rat motor.Shame on you,I hope God can find it in his heart to forgive you.
Dr.Evil--PS what did you do with 235 Vette motor?

Having worked in the auto wrecking business for over 30 years i have gotten to own many old cars. The mopar ones were 2-1951 Plymouths,51 Dodge 1 ton,63 Valiant,64 Valiant,71 Valiant,68 Dart,56 New Yorker(354 Hemi)63 Dodge 880,66 Fury,88 Caravan,53 Plymouth SW,and a 65 Dodge A100 8 door van(still got this one)All this Mopar talk reminds me of this girl i knew. She use to drive her Grandfathers 49 Plymouth SW.We use to bet people that the old Plymouth could do smokey burnouts. We had rigged up a old fire extinguisher with lines going to the wheel wells.Filled it full of ATF,and filled with air at the local gas station.A couple of quick squirts was all it took.Won a lot of fast food dinners with it.
