Second Annual Ladies Day
May 18, 2002
The Second Annual Ladies Day event will be held on May 18, 2002 at the Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club. For just $25, women can come and try out handguns, shotguns, and rifles. The club will also offer instruction in Archery and Fly-casting. Lunch is free to all all female participants, and only $7.50 for those male friends or family members who just couldn't stand to stay home.
Our first event last year was a huge success, with approximately 80 women in attendance. Margie Fishman was on hand and reported on the event in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Plans are currently underway to top last year's success.
For our second year, we have added a second day of activities. The LPR&GC is situated within minutes of the largest shopping mall complex east of the Mississippi, The Plaza and The Court at King of Prussia. We will have two bus shuttles to the Mall.
But shopping is not your only option on Sunday. You may also attend the NRA's Refuse To Be A Victim seminar on crime prevention and personal safety. This 3-4 hour seminar is only $15 for Ladies Day participants (a $5 savings!) and covers tips and strategies to help you develop your own personal plan of crime prevention. The seminar is open to both men and women.
A third option is also available on Sunday, as the club will be open to the public for Sporting Clays. Further explore your shotgun shooting skills with the LPR&GC's 5-stand course that includes rabbit and Batu targets for just $3.00 a round of 25 shots.
