Deer Hunters Win Legal Victory in NJ Mar 29, 2002 4:42 pm US/Eastern (Trenton, New Jersey-AP) -- A New Jersey town that hired a Connecticut company to shoot deer will benefit from an appeals court ruling to be published Monday.The court ruled that a New Jersey law allowing municipalities to hire professional hunters to thin deer herds is constitutional.Two animal rights groups sued, saying the state law is unconstitutional and cruel.
