Citizens should support concealed carry

To the Editor:

In today's society parents are desperately working harder to provide a safe and secure environment for our children. Those parties involved in the raising and safeguarding of our children can only answer this question. With the activities of today's social predators, do I really need to carry a concealed weapon? Knowing that carrying a concealed weapon in the state of Ohio is a violation of current state law, risking arrest and incarceration, would I be guilty or not?

If arrested, the prudent law- abiding citizen would be and feel legally guilty of a crime against the state of Ohio. If this law abiding citizen didn't carry a concealed weapon and they then allowed injury or death to a loved one, then they would feel, and rightfully so, morally guilty. Should one adhere to the laws of survival or to the laws of the state of Ohio?

Only you can decide.

Help end this senseless dilemma of decision making by urging your elected representatives to pass a realistic concealed carry law. Exercise your Constitutional rights. Contact your Ohio state representatives and your Ohio state senator and encourage them to pass HB12 as it came from the House of Representatives.
