Indianola ATF Agent in Trouble

A local alcohol, tobacco and firearms agent is facing public intoxication
charges. It all stems from some sort of fight in Indianola.


According to police reports, ATF agent Jon Carl Peterson got into a
fight with a group of kids near his home about 10:30 last night. When the kids took off, he chased them in his jeep, and forced them to pull over.


The police report also shows Peterson pulled his gun and aimed it at the group of kids. When police arrived, they found a loaded gun in Peterson's jeep.

Blood alcohol tests showed Peterson was more than twice the legal limit to
drive. The investigation continues.

    Remember a few weeks, or maybe it was months ago when they said the ATF lost over 1,000 guns or so that were confiscated. There are some good 'ole boys working there. I'd rather an agent took them home than had them melted down.

    Yea, I really agree, the ATF is a pretty unprofessional group in my opinion, at least round these parts, and what I've heard on the news. Of coarse when you get out of the local manucipality there's alot of good ol boy politics around this area.

    I bet he looses his job, hope he does anyway. I really don't like the ATF as a whole, I think that they are an unessesary evil in our govt. I wouldn't care if they were the AT, but the F has to go... IMHO
