guess what just arrived from the CMP

thats right ladies and gents. the springfield mark I with a c stock that i ordered back in march has arrived. I had it sent to my folks address to make sure someone was home and i am going to go pick it up tomorrow as soon as i get off work. i might have to skip out a bit early. i have no idea what kinda shape its in as my folks dont want to get their hands greasy nor do i want them to open my present so to speak. i can hardly waite and i hope i get a good one. what the best way to clean that cosmoline junk off anyways.

    congrads. on the new family member. i've had good luck with an old t-shirt and common 3&1 oil on uzi parts. just take your time.

    Live steam is the best way; gasoline works very well but is a bit risky.

    is it ok to get the stock wet. and i guess more importantly what do i want to keep off the stock.

    Ive been wanting one and found one in the Shotgun news that were availiable from a Military Base in Florida.But you had to have been on active Duty with the US Military to qualify to buy one.Lighter fluid is a good grease cutter,and should have no ill side effects.
