Just got my new CETME...

I ordered one of them $299.99 CETME's from aimsurplus.com. They are surplus parts kits built on new SSTL CIA reciever. I can report that for the price I am more than pleased.

The finish appears to be a flat auto paint primer. And its not fitted together like a fine sport rifle. It was very, very hard to cock too. So I clean it up really good. Found it very easy to dissasemble, a little harder to reasemble. But now that its cleaned up, it operates pretty smooth. The bore is minty.

I plan on shooting it tomarrow, will update.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Lee - Everything I've seen, read and heard says the action will become easier to work as the parts "wear" to one another. Am interested to hear how it fires and shoots. Betchya its gonna be a blast ! TM

Lee, definately let us know how it shoots. They have caught my eye lately too. I've been sitting on the fence waiting for some reports on how good they are.

Well, just got back from shooting it, and I can say that I am more than pleased. Due to the muzzle break it had a rather loud report. Pretty light recoil. It shot pretty decent. I didn't group it, cause I was more concerned about a function check. It didn't have any malfunctions at all, I put a total of 100rds thru it. The action seems to be a little easier to cock, but not there yet. I shot at both the 100yd and 200yd berms at the range. And from the given report of dust, I deffinately think that this rifle is perfectly capable of hitting a person at that distance. Shooting off hand at sticks I was within 2 feet or so, but that was do to me.

If your fence sitting, I highly advise getting in the game before prices go up, or stocks run out. Get'em while their hot.

    A deffinate A+ buy.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
