    I often wondered what it would have been like to live in Nazi Germany and thanks to people like Mr. Biden I may now have that chance. I hope my papers will be in order. Perhaps I will even have the opportunity to be ordered to quarter soldiers in my home. Wow, what a thought, reliving history.

    Senator Biden always has been an idiot, is currently an idiot, and will no doubt always be an idiot.

    This is the same guy who tried to "dress down" Scott Ritter for blowing the whistle on those useless UNSCOM inspections in Iraq by asserting that he was "trying to make decisions above his pay grade." The rest of Congress uniformly applauded Ritter for calling a failure a failure, and Biden, who seems to wear a permanent coating of egg on his face, got a fresh batch.

    Why voters continue to send people like him and whiney Schumer and Teddy the drunk to the U.S. Congress is beyond my ability to rationalize.

    Reading that article made me think of a bunch of empty headed lazy cowards jumping to an easy "solution" at the expense of our rights and protections under the Constitution. Our liberty is balanced on the separation of law enforcement and justice and the novel concept of innocent until proven guilty. I don't think they teach that in the U.S. War College. It would be far better to focus efforts on improving the training and preparation of our cities' existing SWAT teams under local and state authorities. The further one moves the law enforcement duty from the people, the less influence the people have in checking that law enforcement's actions.

    How many wake-up calls do we need? That is one sickening opinion. "It's very unlikely that we would encounter such situations" - Then why change our rights - The only situation they are guarding against is insurrection or rebellion of the people because of these actions. You are right - history will repeat itself!!! Can we hear a loud BAAAAAA from the sheeple.....
