Got to shoot a real 97 Trenchgun...

Last saturday we had firearms qualification, and shotgun qual. We had the option of either using the county's Remington 870 HD's or bringing out own pump action 12ga. I of coarse brought The AXE...my tweaked out winchester defender 12ga. One buddy brought his brand new Remington 870 Marine model, it was real nice. But one buddy brought an original Winchester 1897 Trench Gun. Had the US mark, the heat shield with bayonet lug the works, and he qualified with it. After qualification during lunch I got to shoot it. He didn't know that you could just hold the trigger down and pump till I showed him. It was sweet. I really wish I had one of them babies. I cleared the like with it. Loaded up to the makes and just pumped on every target on the line till she was empty. It was like a dream come true.
The only bad thing was limping back up to the range house with my crutch if ya know what I mean. You'da had one too after shooting this mama...
