I have been away from the Board for a while and when I came back I find that I have lost my seniority as far as posts are concerned. Man that is a heck of way to treat an old man.......

WELL WHAT A GREAT NEW YEAR!!!. WENT TO THE CABIN FOR FOUR DAYS WITH MY SON AND ABOUT FROZE MY A** OFF, BUT HAD A GREAT TIME.WE DIDNT KILL ANYTHING ,NEVER FIRED A SHOT,ARE LET AN ARROW FLY. WE SAW THREE DEER,TWO COYOTES AND A BUNCH OF SQUIRRELS. TUESDAY EVENING ON WAY TO SEE MY OTHER SON WE HAD FOUR L A R G E BUCKS PASS IN FRONT OF US ON THE WAY OUT OF THE WOODS. PICKED SEVERAL GOOD MESSES OF MUSHROOMS,FRIED THEM UP, MADE OMLETS AND PUT THEM WITH FRIED POTATOES AND FRIED THEM FOR SANDWICHES BOY WERE THEY GOOD. ANYWAY I AM GLAD TO BE BACK INCIVILISATION AND WARM HOUSE. THANKS FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES,WILL BE 67 AND STILL WONDERING HOW I MADE IT THIS LONG WITHOUT KILLING MYSELF SOME WAY LONG AGO.. CARL

BEEKEEP: I HATE TO THINK HOW LONG AGO I WAS THERE IN NAPLES. IT WAS JUST A LITTLE TOWN OF ABOUT 10,000 PEOPLE THE I THINK IN 1965. LAST TIME I WAS DOWN THERE I DIDNT EVEN RECOGNISE THE PLACE....... THOSE DEER ARE APPARENTLY BACK IN BACHELOR GROUPS ALREADY. SEEMS EARLY FOR THAT. I WISH MY BOY HAD HAD ONE WALK BY HIM WHEN HE WAS ON STAND WITH HIS BOW. HE HAS NEVER KILLED ONE WITH IT,ONLY WITH SHOTGUN AND SLUG. CARL

Carl:Did you fly people over the blocks, south of Alligator Ally...as I understand it,they put people up at the Ramuda Ranch, and flew them over the lower estates, all the while, tellin` them of all the development that was going to take place....still looks a lot like it did when I was a kid.I shoot out there .218[This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 01-06-2002).]

BEE:NO I FLEW OVER THE AREA THAT IS NOW FULLY DEVELOPED,JUS SOUTH OF THE AIRPORT. AT THE TIME I WAS THERE THE AIREPORT WAS OUT IN THE COUNTRY,NO PAVED ROAD TO IT JUST ROCK. MOST OF THE LAND LAID TO THE EAST AND SOUTH OF THE AIRPOT. WE ONLY TOOK 20 MIN. FLIGHTS TO COVER THE WHOLE AREA. THE PLACE I LIVED IS NOW A CAR PARKING GARAGE. USED TO FISH THE PIER A LOT SOMTIMES ALL NIGHT. CARL
