We only get two each year, and they are our next door neighbors. There are no other children in the seven houses on our street.

This means I get to eat all the extra left over candy...[:p]

Just once tell them you'd rather have a "trick". Think any will know what that is? [}:)]
On second thought, don't do that. You may get shot. [:D]

    296 is the official count.

Beautiful weather. Less than last year when it was snowing. [?]

Our PD hosts a Trunk or Treat event. We saw 800+ kids and their parents. Everyone was patient and polite. Good time for all. [;)]

Joe, same here. I was very impressed with how polite & well behaved they all were. Also, all had either parents or an older sibling? with them.

The kid that plays Carl Grimes in Walking Dead is in my daughters class and is a friend of theirs. More than a few zombies around here tonight.... Didn't see any clowns though....

(and they are all very polite and the parents always remind the little ones to say thank you... It is so cute... )

We turn the lights out and turn the sprinklers on and play a CD of a large growling dog. Seems to deter the little tikes. [}:)]

The great thing about living in the country is we had zero, zip, nadda come begging for candy! My wife and I make a Sam's Club run every year before Halloween and buy a big bag of our favorite candy, just in case; yeah, right, who's kidding who, we buy it for us! [:D]

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

I had two kids, both are the nieces of the people across the street. (We live on a steep hill and the houses are far apart...not worth the effort I guess).

I, too ate the leftovers. [xx(]
