Capital One called wants to know my return policy

I swear....some days are just too precious to measure.
I get this call....its Capital One and he is calling because someone wants to dispute the charge from a purchase.
This is from the beginning of NOVEMBER! I explain that "no, you cannot keep a gun more than two months and decide you want your money back".
He says the guy told him he was out of town when it first arrived and he then sent it to his gunsmith so it could be inspected.
I reply "that makes TWO reasons he is out of luck on this one because you cannot send any gun to a random gunsmith for any reason and think I will take it back."
The guy from Capital One then says "if he had contacted you within 30 days it would be ok then?" No.....no.....you can open the box, visually inspect it and tell me you found a problem and I'll work with you.....but if you walk out the door with it we are done.
I don't understand how ANYONE can be so naive about firearm transfers. Both this buyer and the guy from Capital One seem to be in la la land.

I think some of the time its the transfer dealer that makes the guy feel like they made a bad purchase. No matter who or why....two months is crazy!
This will be the longest anyone has taken before trying something like this.
Altogether, I think I have had three people that have tried to dispute charges. Once it was a guy that bought 5 mags that fit a Glock....he wanted a refund because they weren't "Glock" mags....nevermind that they weren't described as GLOCK mags. One guy was not happy with the color of his Winchester 22 once he got it. There are nutty people out there!
I have never decided to return something and contacted the credit card company before I contacted the vendor.
This guy got the gun November 17th.....left us bad feedback on Dec 29th....then I got an email from him the 1st week of Jan complaining about the gun....then today we get the call from Capital One. This is the strangest mess ever. I seriously never hear one word from the guy until after the bad feedback and he had the gun for longer than a month at that time.
Don't blame the guy at Capital One. He's just following federal law regarding credit card disputes. Your buyer, on the other hand, is a putz.
+1
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

His wife found the charge and he is in BIG trouble for drinking and bidding. Do not ask how I know....[:p]
You too huh?

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
The last auction I won was your daughter's duct tape hat.
My history shows no won auctions, nor does is show any feedback.
I thought you had a three day inspection period, NON Firing, to return most guns. Once it leaves the FFL, it is yours and Tough chit. At least that is the way all the guns I bought and sold were done. This guy is a *. Tell him to switch hands and keep pounding, and he might get further.[;)] Good Luck Kasey, but I don't think you will need any dealing with Mr. HJ. Oakie
