    Konet,
What is an Sk? Do you mean Sks? If so, what type of Sks, Chinese, Yugoslavian, Russian, Romanian? 100$ does sound like a good deal, as long as the barrel/wood/action is in good shape.

    Ignore Shootist3006,
He just doesn't know the glory of the commie-block weapons
Make sure the serial numbers on the bolt and stock match. If they don't have a gunsmith check the head spacing for you. There's a lot of mismatched Sks's out there and it's always better to be safe than sorry. What color is the stock? Does it have a blade bayonet or a spike? I'm willing to bet it's a Romanian or Chinese since the Russians usually go for a bit more. You won't be sorry, these are great rifles! Enjoy and let us know how it turns out...

Ps. If you're interested in a nice cheap, reliable handgun, check out Makarovs. They are a little pricey right now, but SOG says they are expecting another shipment in and when they come you should be able to get them for around 100$.

(I think he meant for that to be sarcastic, but it's the truest thing he's said in months)

I'd trust my life on my SAR-1. I can beat that thing to crap and back and it'll still load and fire. I could never say that for any damn Mattel mouse gun.

I also got a Norinco copy of the 870 Express. I think it's a lot better than the Remington version. And I have more faith in it's builder!

    (tee hee hee...)

In this part of the country I'd JUMP on ANY $100 SKS!
Since Oregon passed the gunshow background check into law, prices on any so-called assault weapons have skyrocketed. No good reason except it maybe gave the dealers a chance to raise prices and a bunch of idiots fell for it. (they must be selling them, Right?? Or wouldn't the prices go down??) Prices in the Portland shops I've been into are about $300 for a decent specimen.

If John McCain has his way, the rest of you gun buyers out there can share in this lunacy! I wonder if he knows or cares that he's a true socialist?
