First Hearing This Morning, 8-19

I met with my lawyer who I have used for years, and only at the last minute found out that Shanna raised an objection to him representing me over a conflict, so I had to scramble for another.

The one I got is a good one. Long phone conference today. Meeting before hearing. The hearing is only for temporary orders and they aren't asking for anything unusual.

#3 son isn't mine, but I have been in his life for 10 of his 11 years, so I am dad. This is an issue that will have to be resolved.

Between lawyer visits, I went to see my doctor finally. I may be able to eat now. I had dropped 26 pounds.

So, keep a happy thought, prayer, whatever you do, for in the morning, 8-19, about 9 am.

Thanks to all who have emailed and called. Especially the calls.

    Good luck, my friend. If you will send me a mailing address, I'll send you a jar of home-made, home grown salsa, Kansas style(keep the fire extenguisher handy) to help with those lost pounds. I don't pray much, but you are in them. I figure that if you save them for the important stuff, they are more likely to be answered.

    One more thing, David... While I certainly don't recommend what you'll be going through, my faith tells me that there's a reason. You will survive and you'll be stronger in some way or another.

    Nunn- I really hope things work out, at least with the kids. My dad isn't biologically my father. But he has been dad since I was a 1 year old. And he will be dad until the day I die. And no matter what happens, those kids will love you forever!! And even if that's the one ray of sunshine you see through all of this, HANG ON to it for dear life. And rest assured, I will have an extra special talk with the Lord tonight.
