Mogadishu, Somalia-AP -- As the American helicopter gets shot down by Somali gunmen, some of the audience members jump up and cheer. The movie is "Black Hawk Down" -- the story of a botched mission in Somalia in 1993 in which 18 American soldiers were killed. And the audience watching the bootleg video of the film was in Somalia. The images were blurred, and the sound wasn't much better.Still, hundreds of men and a few women crowded into video theaters throughout the city of Mogadishu last night to watch bad copies of the pirated version of the movie. One man said he lost nine of his best friends at once during the fight with the Americans. Hundreds of Somalis were killed. In the United States, some refugees from Somalia are calling for a boycott of the film. They say the Somalis are portrayed as "savage beasts."

Next thing those folks need to watch is a 'real time' demonstration of the daisy cutter, then Daisy Cutter Part II, then . . . . Well, you get the idea.

"Savage Beasts"I saw the movie and missed that part. But, if they say so, thats ok, they are in a better position to judge themselves. Why argue about it....
