I know some of you older(wiser) fellas have me beat out there on this one, But I just spent 8 hours at the docs office today!I swear if you are one minute late too your appointment...they threaten too casterate you. But if they overbook ( there fault) you can sit in there waiting room for 2hrs and your screwed. there should be some kinda regulation against this sort of b.s....I mean once we made it past the waiting room my wife had too have a series of tests ran on her. 2 more hours..... Plus she is hypoglycemic.. and they wouldent let her eat .... more b.s.....total was 8hrs 32 min.... Whats the longest time you got screwed for?

lets all be responsible! shoot a criminal!

I had to go in for a bone scan because my ankle was acting up after a Rugby injury and it wasn't getting any better. I couldn't climb the rope in gym class it was so bad. I drove three hours to Walter Reed hospital and, after I got there, I sat and waited two hours before they could inject me with some kind of radioactive material. Then I had to wait three more hours until that material was absorbed by my bones. Then I waited (and fell asleep) for another good 45 minutes while this machine scanned me from head to toe just so they could get a good look at my ankle. I spent another hour or so waiting for the Doctor to diagnose the injury and then it was another three hour drive back home.

I'm still wondering if that radioactive stuff will have any long-term effects on my bones.

My fathers is his ninetites, yesterday I took him in to see his cardiologist, at 8:45 a.m., and there was two other people with the same appointment time. We all reaised heck with the staff, after the fourth person showed up.

He (the fourth person) was taken in before all of us, claiming he had had the same experience the day before, only he couldn't stick around an wait as there were six others with the same appointment time, so they rescheduled him for the following day at 8:45 am , he got in first cause he was madder than all the rest of us.

Then the Doctor didn't show till 10:30 am. We got out of there at 4:15 pm.

This guy must think the world revolves around his schedule.

Although we didn't spend 8 hours, it did, kind of mess up the day.

Can't remember the longest time spent. Now. I give them 30 mins. and then I walk out. Took about two trips for them to figure it out. Their first response was to threaten to bill me for appointment. I politly explained that we would be in small claims court and that I would countersue for lost income. I do make allowances if they say there was an emergency but I refuse to sit on my thumb for hours on end waiting on them.

For me it was the time I had to go to the ER for a testicular torsion. First off for those of you who have no idea what that is, find some really big guy, hand him a louiville slugger, spread your legs and let him smash you in the balls with all his might. It almost killed me due to it caused my large intestine to pinch shut.

After we arrived in the ER, the receptionist made me sit in the waiting room, I couldnt walk or sit and sitting there for 30 minutes was pure HELL, then they put me in the romm for an hour before doc showed up, took me for an ultrasound and placed me in emergency surgery. The total time before they medicated me after arriving was over 4 hours! But man when they injected me and did the spinal tap it was happy land!
