Cleaning jag and mop confusion

Please help. For those of you who have used both a 9mm and a 10mm brass pistol jag, is the longer jag for the 9mm or the shorter one? I have a bunch of new jags but threw the packagings away. In addition, what do you use a mop for? Cleaning or lubricating?
Resistance is futile in California, but I still refuse to be assimilated.

The main purpose of a "jag" is to push the cleaning patch thru the barrel. You can use any "jag' as long as it allows the patch to make contact with the bore (shouldn't be so tight as to not allow the patch and jag together to fit down the barrel.I mainly use a "mop" for applying a light coat of oil to the bore for storage and/or a dry one to remove same before firing.
