I own Colt target match w/bull barrel, I was wondering which handgun is better. I would figure that it would be the colt...Name says it all..Thats why I bought the Colt over the Browning, and the Ruger. But there are a few out there swearing by that Ruger. I was hoping I could get some opinions since I havent had a chance too shoot the Ruger yet. I am very happy with my Colt, I know thats all that matters.

I have a Ruger Mk l, 5 1/2 bull, Liberty Model, that I really like. Comfortable
and very accurate. Haven't shot a Colt, so can't compare.

Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.

Is this the Colt Cadet that your referring to with the optional 6" bull/target barrel? ... I believe it has been out of production for 3-4 years?

If so I had one but it had a crappy trigger and mags were outrageous when you could find them ... I traded it for a Ruger Mk II Stainless Target, which came with a Volquartzen trigger, 5 mags and still put $50 back in my pocket, Then I put the slabside walnut grips on it for $20 ... For me, the Ruger has a better trigger, shoots much smoother, and more accurate ... possiably because it seems to fit me better and is more "natural pointing" (grip angle) ...

As with all guns what fits me, isn't necessarly best for you ... I went through a lot of target .22's before I found my keeper, and it seems like I kept comming back to the Ruger Mk II. I wouldn't be suprised if there were more Ruger MkII's in the hands of consumers than all the different models Glocks combined ...

The only bad thing about choosing a Kimber ...
... there are so darn many models to choose from!

I have tried quite a few and finally settled on the Ruger MK II also. Reason, what kimberkid said.

If I knew then, what I know now.
