I am a law abiding citizen. I have never EVER done or witnessed any of the following. Have you?Exceeded the speed limit, even while passing another car.Slowed down, but did not fully stop, at a stop sign.Pushed a red light a little.Taken the right of way from another driver, intentionally or accidentally.Followed to close to another car.Drank liquor and then drove a car.Partisipated in or witnessed anyone drinking liquor who was underage.Smoked a joint, or tried any other drug, even once.Take a child to a parking lot, and let them practice driving "BEFORE" they had a drivers license.Hit anyone.Called anyone a nasty name, for any reason.Accidentally or intentionally put something in your pocket and forgot it was there, (stole it).Sold a firearm to anyone without first doing a complete background check and profile of that person. If you have EVER done or witnessed any of the above. Go directly to your local police station and report it IMMEDIATELY!!! Then we can all be law abiding citizens.Did I forget any?

If I knew then, what I know now.

Am I a "law abiding" person? Depends on the which law(s) you're talking about.

I don't know where you live, but in the State of Washington it is NOT illegal to exceed the posted speed limit when passing another car.

And what laws dictate that a private seller of firearms must do a background check of the buyer?

Why? It is impossible to "teach" a teenager anything! At least, this is the rule in most cases. Haven't you noticed yet? Most Teenagers know everything about everything! What the hell would you be thinking if you questioned them about something? How dare you try to show them something? Holy Sh**, are you trying to make yourself into an Idiot?

We break law from the original ten all the time. Man's laws as well.
I guess we consider ourselves law abiding if we render to Ceasar what is Ceasar's. We all know better so when we get caught we can blame no one but ourselves.

Not me, not ever, I'm as pure as the driven snow, a paragon of virtue and observation of both the spirit and letter of all laws, no matter how stupid they might be. Now who will open the bidding on my ocean front lot in Omaha?

    rugster -- re: Clinton

That depends on what your definition of the word "is" is.

As a former English major, I was sitting there watching that live TV interview with the Clintons, and when Bill answered whether he had a relationship with Lewinski by saying "There is no relationship..." I was yelling at the screen, "Yeah, but WAS there!!!" The oldest ploy in the book, and the newsman didn't catch him in it. Stupid, stupid newsman. I think he was paid off.

We live in a society where a percentage of people committing misdemeanors and "moving violations" are ticketed in order to encourage general adherence to the rules of the road.

We are law-abiding even if we have "points" on our license, because there are degrees of lawlessness. If there were not degrees of lawbreaking, parking in a handicapped space could get you the death penalty.

So yes, I'm a law abiding citizen. I've never even put a mag extender on a post ban mag. I currently carry by virtue of a CCW, and stopped carrying when I inadvertently let it expire a while back, until it was renewed. I do not illegally modify my guns. In all the ways that count, I'm a law abiding citizen. I even use HR Block software to do my taxes. And I haven't had a drink in over 20 years, so drinking and driving is not a problem for me. Nor do I operate heavy machinery when on prescriptions. I'm really a darn nice guy.

    Definitely it needs detailing ......

I am a law abiding citizen. I have never EVER done or witnessed any of the following. Have you?..

Exceeded the speed limit, even while passing another car.

All cops do that every day and no one cares ....

Slowed down, but did not fully stop, at a stop sign.

All the time at 12.00AM in "bad places" Hi crime areas...

Pushed a red light a little.
Pushed it all the way ....Same as avove....

Taken the right of way from another driver, intentionally or accidentally.

Darn you will never make it in NY....

Followed to close to another car.

It seems you have never being in a kalifornia trafic bottlenec!!!

Drank liquor and then drove a car.

Nope! I drove a car and then drank the liquor.....

Partisipated in or witnessed anyone drinking liquor who was underage.

Are you a school drop out or you came from another planet ???

Smoked a joint, or tried any other drug, even once.

That means you have never being at a disco and smoked second hand
    "El yerbo" smoke ????

Take a child to a parking lot, and let them practice driving "BEFORE" they had a drivers license.

In private parkings thats not illegal......

    Hit anyone.
darn ! I lost count on that one !!!!!

Called anyone a nasty name, for any reason.

On a daily rootine ,specialy in this forum ,HEHEHE !

Accidentally or intentionally put something in your pocket and forgot it was there, (stole it).

If I stole it I dont forgot is there and usualy I tell the guy,can I steal this?,it nevers fails by default the reaction is null so you keep it (he gets the blame for not telling you NO.

Sold a firearm to anyone without first doing a complete background check and profile of that person.

IN SLC who cares for that ......

If you have EVER done or witnessed any of the above. Go directly to your local police station and report it IMMEDIATELY!!! Then we can all be law abiding citizens.

Hey guys and gals, this post was tongue in cheek for another thread where the author claimed, and I quote, "I have a tensacy to be a law abiding conservative." (I know, I know, tenacity is spelled wrong, I did not do it). Some have read the other thread and got the joke, or they just knew that it was a joke to begin with. I am sure that except for that perfect person, most of us has committed, and/or witnessed, one or more of the listed offenses. Where as I do agree that the severity of the infraction does make a difference. Some people carry it a little to far. I am sure glad that I do not live around, associate with, or am a relative of that "perfect" person.Lowrider; I just meant that speeding is illegal, just to emphasize it, I added while passing a car. As far as the selling firearms privately, it is just another unenforceable law that the feds will use against you, only after the fact. If you sell a firearm to someone that commits a crime with it.Shootist3006; I do not know if taking a child to a parking lot to practice driving is against the law. (since it is on private property). It just sounded good. But I do know that calling a person a nasty name is. Long story short. I was at a garage sale and was looking at a box. Asked the person that was acting like my shadow, how much it was. (I thought she worked there). She did not work there, she actually reached up and tried to take it out of my hand, because SHE "might" want to buy it. I went up to the person in the garage to ask about price. She went out to her car and intentionally knocked over my Harley, ($6,000.00 damage). I was, as you might guess a little Pi$$ed Off and called her a "Stupid Fu***ng Bi**h". She got a ticket for improper backing. I received a ticket for calling her the name. So I know from personal experience that calling a person a nasty name is considered a crime.4GodandCountry; How much is that property going for? I might want some.

If I knew then, what I know now.

Must really suck thinking that because you pay your taxes on you are a good citizen. Wonder if anybody on this board has neighbors that will watch their home or other posessions while that person may be away. Gee, I hope not, they might be considered a no-good citizen.
