Clarification on how to ship.

This has probably been asked before, but how does a non ffl holder ship a pistol that they sold in an auction? I know USPS is out of the question. Would I have to find an ffl in my area that's willing to ship the pistol for me or can I ship it myself to the receiving person's ffl?

For me, it boiled down to $$$.
UPS and Fed-x wanted around $50 to ship.
An FFL wanted $20 (her fee) + $12 for the cost of shipping with ins.
I saved money using an FFL.

Yes, you can ship direct (no law against it) but ask the receiving FFL if he accepts firearms from NON FFL's BEFORE you ship it. This has become a BIG problem as of late.
