Gettin' a bit of weather action here

....It's been trying to storm since mid-afternoon. There's been heavy winds in three directions from me, and the radar looks like I should be getting flattened. I've got the scanner on, and there are about 40,000 households without power.

....Had some kick-butt lightning. Cath and I stood out in the rain watchin' and whooping at the light show. Love those real close in "sizzle, flash, boom" ones. I can't understand why I couldn't get her to climb the antenna tower to change the flag..[}:)]...Might have something to do with the last hit we took. It came in on the phone line, jumped to the coax and fried three TVs, the puter, three phones and the answering machine. It left a huge scorch spot on a floor joist where the cable branched off. She's just chicken. [:o)]

Hey Tap, How's the "no smoking" campaign going? Still hanging in there?[:)]

....Nope...not TX, Illinois [xx(]. The smoking thing is still a bear, but I HAVE held out. It hits me several times a day, and my mouth just waters. As long as I don't buy any, the decision is easy....I can't have one. Our friend that I paid for the laser treatment caved almost immediately. The wife is back to buying some but keeping it outside and out of my sight.

....We get one free re-do on the laser thing, and I'm hoping that it will reinforce Cathy enough to get over it. It was really easier the first few days than now, almost a month later. I'll be fine. Thanks for inquiring. My friends here and in "real life" have really helped.

Hang in there, it gets easier after about 6-8 weeks. I'm sure that's longer than you want it to take, but it really does start to taper way off after about 6 weeks. Good Luck.[:)]
