Ice got my MOM

She is 92 and was walking over to get coffee this morning, slipped could not get up. The inside dogs went nuts barking and howling till I got to her.
Broken hip. Hospital for a week then nursing home for rehab.
She could use a prayer.

sheepdip, Just happened to a friend's mom here about 3 weeks ago! They replaced the joint and she spent 10 days in the nursing home getting therapy 2x/day everyday and is now home doing great! Hope the same scnario plays out for you! Will offer prayers! GHD

GHD, that's good to hear. I always thought, once they go down they stay down. Happened to her mother at about the same age.

She is in my prayers. I was walking up to the cheese bus stop and slipped on the ice. Being the everconscious person I made it look like I need a military type of dive and got up!

My 77 year old Mother & Law had the same thing happen to her recently. I hope everything is well with your MOM. Just make sure you change your shorts when you go visit her in the hospital, or they might keep your there,[;)]

Dipper, she's on my prayer list. Keep us updated. Sandy's aunt (91 years old) went through the same surgery a year ago and is doing fine, so I have nothing but high hopes for your mom![;)]
