    If the rumors are true, mine will be a happy but unsafe weekend.

    Lake shasta houseboating..... every memorial day weekend, college students from all the nearby (loose term, its a 2-3 hour drive from here) schools (UC CSU, community colleges etc)descend upon lake shasta for 3 days of partying.
    One huge floating party.
    Rumor is there are lots of toples girls and lots of promiscuous acts that take place on the boats or on "slaughter house island" (dunno how it got that name).
    I also hear that on average 1-2 people die every year.(im amazed they havent cracked down on it)
    This is obviously a result of water and drunken idiots, but if you figure you have about 50-100 houseboats each carrying 15-30 people...there are quite a few people and thats a pretty low percent that die....

    So heres to hoping what I hear about all the topless and/or easy girls is true, and that nobody dies as a result of either drowning, moving motor boats, alcohol poisening etc.

    Remember, if you drink DON'T DRIVE! And if you drive........well just DON'T , unless you really have too. The roads WILL be FULL of idiots, of varying types, this weekend, y'all come back safe![:)]
