ADMIN -- What is exchange.linkxpro.asp?

Lately when I use my Back button on Gunbroker forums, instead of taking me back to the previous page, nothing happens, except that a link called exchange.linkxpro.asp is activated. Care to explain that one, Admin?

An .asp is a small automatic process running, that much I know already. I'm asking what it's doing. Obviously, the words "exchange.link....." do not exactly sound okay with me, because I get too much spam already. I would like my Back button to return me to the previous page unhampered by this new process running every time. It just started happening a week or so ago.

I occasionally get the timeout messages, too. I assume that could be a busy server. Since I've done some Windows updating, I no longer go back to my message after it has been posted. I get knocked clear out to the Forums list every time. It could be that there is a compatibility issue with current Microsoft code.

But that has nothing to do with the introduction of the "exchange.linkxpro.asp." An .asp is process, I believe Front-Page server compatible, that runs by itself. If you get a virus like a trojan horse, it will often be downloaded to you by e-mail with an .asp component. My computer is clean of viruses, so it's got to be advertising, either at my end or at GB's.

Along the same lines; if this forum is the last window open, when I shut down my computer, it gives me the message "has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" along with "a program is still running, do you want to... wait, end program, etc." If I change to any other site, and then shut down the computer, this does not happen. Anyone else have this problem?

If I knew then, what I know now.
