I got my Vacation!

Next Monday starts my 2 week woodfiring, salt firing workshop.
Yeah....2 weeks away from jail! We're having a 70 foot elm
in our frontyard cut down Sunday am....only time the guy was
free with the bucket. Roof is being done with green metal
after that. Now if I can just not exhaust myself by getting
involved in chain-sawing tree limbs Sun. am....fat chance of
that. Tomorrows my last day of work for 14 days.[:D]
Any of you guys going thru Council Bluffs 2nd week of June?
Can stop by our firing and look into the wood kiln. Takes
us 3 days usually to get her up to 2300 degrees before we
close her up. Incredible looking into the fire door, like
looking into a volcano. The fire is molten, licking around
the pots like liquid river of red hot fire.[:)][:)] I take
the night shift, and load the wood in about every 5 minutes
to get the temp up. Lots of work...but the results are
incredible!
