New Neighbor is apparently Anti Gun -

Has been rubbing a few people wrong since he moved in a few months ago, and had three un-civil Pits running loose, turning up on others property menacing People and their pets. He was warned by several people, (including myself.) That his dogs would be shot, unless he controlled them. That was the first issue.
Buddy/neighbor and I heard a few gunshots there one evening. We spoke. Turns out A$$hat had fired a gun into the ground, several times because "that is what would make his Pits stop fighting." Later on, I heard these two Pits ended up fighting so bad they had to be put down. (We were all really sad to hear that.) [Said facetiously.]
This guy had called both my Buddy and I earlier a couple times, asking us not to shoot, "because it scared his dogs." We gently clued him in to where he had moved. That was the second issue.
My Buddy called me earlier today. He had been shooting his AR 15/22. Next thing he knew, a Sheriff car was in his driveway. Claimed he had two complaint calls, and had to investigate. My Buddy showed him targets and his backstop into the bank at the edge of the woods on his property. Deputy wished him a nice day.
We know where that call came from. We (and others here,) have been shooting for years with no issues whatsoever. He is the only variable that has changed. Strike three.
[This guy a few days ago, had called me and wanted to know would I reference his Son on a job application where I work. I agreed to do so.] Stupid. I plan on speaking to HR Monday, to withdraw that.
This guy moved to the Wrong neighborhood in the Country, if he does not like People (safely) shooting on their own property. He is currently not fitting in too well. Not too happy to have a Tick in the Woodpile.
Why do people move in to the Country, and then try to change everything to be like the City/Suburb crap hole they elected to move from?
Rant over.

I've shot some full autos out in my woods and figured someone would call.
I believe I may have to take the M44 out this evening. It's slightly (a'hem) LOUD. I hope he likes it. [:0][B)][V][:D]
we had some "new neighbors move in a year or two ago
we have back yard shots with family and friends sometimes 15 to 20 people and a lot of rapid firing ( wasting ammo ) many ar style guns a couple belt feed and toss in handguns and shotguns even a 50 cal rifle
honest we do make a lot of noise
we were just finishing up one of the days of thousands of rounds had fired into our back stop and were cleaning up for the day ( no shooting was going on )
a deputy sheriff pulls in ( my youngest son knows and hangs with some of them )
any way complaint came in from a neighbor and of course they had to do the follow up
he said he loved to shoot also took a look at the back stop we talked about guns and shooting even invited him out anytime [^]
he said all was good keep having fun just a rule they had to follow up
and he did his part
we have had several such days since then and no complaints I guess they realized we are the good guys with guns
we shoot in the back yard often but a couple maybe three times have a group over
Have you considered the possibility that this is intentional?? What better way to advance the commie/leftist agenda than keep moving azzholes into nice neighborhoods and being a disruptive force.[:(!]
You mean like a rural "block buster"?[:D]

That's exactly what Obama wanted to do with "fair housing", force mixed economic classes to live together. Put subsidized housing in nice neighborhoods to destroy them....bring every one down...
That is the same type set up we have here Shilowar. Private road in the Country. One way in, very curvy 7 miles, dead ends, same way out. Very much, in the woods. Only time we see the Sherriff in here, is if they are called.

MY 11.5" Commando is pretty loud too [:D]
...the sign. Put up the sign,,,,,,

another time I hadn't shot ANYTHING for several days and a 'good' neighbor called to see if I was sick and needed anything.
"Can you get your hands on any Tannerite?".........some time ago I set some off, someone within 'ear shot' (1.5 miles) called the sheriff about the 'explosion'..........sheriffs office said " naw, thats just Mike shooting some of his 'big stuff'[:D]

In my neighborhood I need one with more arrows[:(]

Yep,
Built "affordable" w/ sec 8 housing near my brothers last house. Crime soared, brother had to sell. Of course, they destroy everything in their vicinity.
Just remember Ken, retaliation/revenge is wrong, and two wrongs don't make a right... It just makes 2 wrongs
Yes, I agree. That is why I have not done anything overt. (But) Most everyone here moved here because of the freedoms we enjoy. No way are we going to let some new folks come in and spoil what we can legally do on our own property.
I did not shoot the M44 last night, primarily due to having had a few beers during the day. I do not mix firearms and beer.
This guy and his family are going to have to get a clue. We all moved to/live in the country due to the freedoms we can enjoy here. He is not going to change that. A lot of us here shoot on a regular basis. I heard gunshots going off in the neighborhood yesterday afternoon and evening. The Sheriff Dept. is going to get tired of his calling and will explain that he lives in the Country and people can legally (safely) shoot on their own property.
Definitely an oxymoron in this comment.
There are no "neighborhoods in the country". If you can see or hear your "neighbors", you're in a suburb.
Maybe I'm spoiled as I do live in the country.
sporting "bright blue hair."
We have since learned that the Owner was back down in GA. at the time So, the call had to have been made by the Son, or the Grandson, or both.
Easy to find out just walk up to him and yell "Hit it"
I was at a gas station one time in Uniform and this old guy comes up to me and says he was Airborne too. He said he saw that I was a Master Parachutist but didn't know what the Gold Star was for. I told him it was for Combat Jump.
Then I asked him when he went through Jump School and says 1958(this was about 1996 or 97). So I said "Hit it"! and that old guy jumps up gets in the exit position hands over his reserve, feet together chin on chest, knees locked and starts counting 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000.......just like he went through jump school yesterday.
I knew he was not BS'ing me.[;)]
What is strange is that this guy "Claims" to be retired Army Airborne. His Son "Claims" to be former Army Airborne with a couple tours under his belt. (I'd like to see their "Challenge Coins.") His Grandson just recently moved in as well, (My Buddy told me.) 16-17 year old male, dresses in all black (Goth style.) I spotted him about a week ago coming out of the house when I drove by. I'm told he is now

It is surprising how many veterans support gun control. I know a few, and there is any number of them on the youtube.
I would imagine that in a craphole like Iraq, a foot patrol would be less stressful if you were reasonably confident that most citizens were unarmed. No doubt it is the same thinking that puts a number of LEO organizations/spokesmen in the same camp.

That's about the gist of the situation... And I can understand why they would want most people unarmed looking at it from that point of view. But looking at it from the point of view of our forefathers, a person would have to be an idiot to want gun control. And the way things are going now with the liberal Representatives, we will have to take arms against the government...
Why do people move in to the Country, mountains, and then try to change everything to be like the City/Suburb crap hole they elected to move from?
Around here we call it CALIFORNICATING Colorado.
And I am sorry to say they are doing a fine job of it.
New laws since being CALIFORNICATED.
Now all firearm transactions must go through an FFL.
No mags over 15 rounds.
etc.
etc.
We USED to be able to shoot in our yards without greeting our local men in blue.
Some of them wish us a safe time, some act like gestapo and tell us we have to stop.
I do not like the direction the wind is blowing.
