A suspected car thief's joy ride came to an end Thursday thanks to the OnStar system.
Police said the 17-year-old stole a sport utility vehicle from Southeast 48th Street. The chase went several blocks before ending on Southeast 33rd Street.
The chase ended when officers bumped the SUV off the roadway.
The teenager was booked into the county jail.
Police said the teenager has been arrested on 68 other occasions.
