Car inspections. $30 annually.

There's so many dang cars here they could make a fortune. Would help keep illegal immigrants from driving around their Mexican junk buckets also.

Thoughts?

Already have that. Bi annual smog inspection are required in order to keep you tag up to date. I couldn't even get my base sticker without a smog check on a Florida tagged vehicle.

Why not charge everybody that goes to college the going rate for tuition instead of giving away those college degrees.

The least we can do for California is to suggest to the people campaigning for office.....ludicrous ideas to make money to make Californians life worse...

Good people like Mark will move away with us. He can sell more guns in our States.

When they do the smogs the same guy is linked with Sacramento's computers and can do a car inspection in a minute, click pass. Accept another $30.

I got my base sticker in California without a smog. Title said 'diesel' truck drank unleaded.

Classic-- you make a good point. They do won the place. THAT is why we have a budget deficit of $38 billion. If we deported all 4 million of these damn illegals, then we wouldnt be paying their welfare (like we already are) or their medical (like we are) or anything else. Either that, or grant them all amnesty and require them to pay a citizenship fee of about $10,000 a year. That will keep them out!

I don't know, Chuck, why do you "waist" your time talking about California? You seem to have more to say than just about anyone else...

Aglore - The university system is moving in that direction. My fees have increased by about 50% since this time last year and some services and class offerings have been cut. Higher education is still heavily subsidized, though.

    Norman dog,

Its been moving that direction for ahwile now. Started back in the early 90s. Up until then JC was basically free ($50 max per semester) and 4 year UC and CSU schools were nearly free (like $1500 a year). Its probably still about 80-85% subsidized thu, but it used to be 95+%..

I hear you, Silver Box. In 1979, I paid $271 a semester as a full-time undergrad. This fall, I'm paying $850 as a part-time graduate student. Last fall, I paid about $600 as a part-time grad student. It is still a low price for the education I receive.
