    Kerker.

That little sticker that says not street legal almost didn't get me my motorcycle license. Luckily the cop was a nice guy.[:D]

That's what I use on my dirt bike. Before i left Calif. they were starting to crack down on aftermarket mufflers at the public riding areas. They had rangers with noise meters checking everyone at the gate. My Yamaha 550 with Kerker wouldn't pass so I'd take to hanging around the parking lot till lunch when all the rangers dissappeared for an hour.

Yeah, but they probably don't make much of a performance gain on your YamaHopper scooter anyhow. [:D][:D]

The same people who love to annoy the public with their loud pipes (whether on motorcycle or car) are the same people who would be outraged if I parked close to their house, opened up the exhaust on my little Ford Escort, and either woke them up or drown out their television show or conversation.

We have more than enough noise in the world already. We don't need more. In fact, I believe that one of the reasons people like to go camping is for the peace and quiet.

Vance & Hines would probably sound the best on your VTX. You should go with the High Flow Air Cleaner too.

sorry for the long pause but it took awhile to get back home..i had heard kerker ,vance and hines and hard chrome b4...what is the rule of thumb? the bigger the deeper sounding or what? i will say that my `1300 is supposed to be an "exact reproduction" of the harley 88b..only its water cooled

Ain't no way! No way a water cooled V-Twin can be made to an 'exact reproduction' of an air cooled Harley.

Some people might THINK it is the same, but us Harley riders can tell the difference!

    Vance and Hines Big Shots.

    Check this website
    www.vtxoa.com

Lots of great info there. We just got through doing the Clayton Mod to my buddy's stock pipes on his 1300C and it sounds great! Type Clayton Mod in the search engine on that site

And there's no way, no matter how much you dress it like one, that a Sportster can be a big twin. [:D]
