Ladies and Gentlemen is there anyone that can tell me honestly what they know and think about the Glock handguns. I just purchased the Glock 30 45 ACP. I have placed the Crimson Trace Laser Grips on it as well as the Streamlight tactical light. The combination is awesome. I have yet to shoot the gun with laser but did shoot it prior and thought it was just ok on accuracy. Any help on better shootong? Thanks

we all have our opinions, but that is a good one.
for some reason with the lockup, the G30 is supposed to be one of the more inherently accurate glocks, all which provide good combat accuracy

My main carry gun is a Glock 30. I love it. I find the accuracy to be exceptional.

Are you familiar with the "trigger reset" technique of shooting Glocks? It's not necessary to fully release the trigger between shots. You only need to let the trigger come forward enough to reset the mechanism - actually less than half of the trigger's forward travel. If you practice this technique you can get used to doing it even in rapid-fire exercises and it makes a huge difference in your accuracy.

You did not say how much you had fired the G30 in the past, in my experience it took several hundred rounds to get used to the
trigger pull as it was different than what I was used to.

So my advice is to get out there and put some rounds down range.

I have a 30 that I like very much. The only thing I have done to mine was to replace the recoil spring unit with a Wolff. It lets me vary the spring for different loads. Wolff makes 5 different weight spring packs for the 29 and the 30. Mine seems to give best accuracy with 230 gr loads.

You can feel the reset happen while dry-firing the weapon.

Remove the magazine (carefully checking for a round in the chamber), rack the slide, and pull the trigger. Keeping the trigger pulled to the rear, pull the slide back far enough (halfway will do) to reset the striker, and let it go forward. Then very slowly let the trigger come forward and you'll feel the click as the trigger resets. Do this several times until you get familiar with the point where the trigger resets, then try it with live ammo.

You'll be amazed at how much more accurately you'll shoot the pistol.
