How long till they lock-up Condit?

Since they found Chandra Levy's body today how long do you think it's going to take before they arrest Gary Condit? Or do any of you think he's innocent? I am not convicting him just curious what the general consensus is. I think within 2 weeks he's in custody!! RG

    Even money he met her at the park and did her in when she threatened to go public, or it was a serial killer and she just happened to be having an affair with Condit.

    Never,took them over a year to find the body,proof will be hard to come by. Opinions will not convict anyone.

    I'm hoping the forensics people will come up with some answers. That's all I can say. Sometimes they come up with a lot, sometimes they come up empty. I sure hope they can solve it.

    Well if it was him I would say the way the world is probably never. Look at bill Clinton, OJ and others. Not a good track record, although miracles sometimes happen.

    Thanks Gordian, I read the yahoo link. Now my personal opinion is as follows. Gary Condit is a Polecat. however I believe if he had anything to do with this he would have done a better job disposing the body. My Heart & Prayers go out to the Levey Family. OTO

    He'll be in jail within a week if the forensic people find one drop of his DNA on what is left of the body. If not maybe she was just killed by a random act of violence and they'll never find the person(s) responsible.

    The votes are in and the decision is: It was either Condit or someone else. As far as I can see the main thing he was convicted of here is being a liberal democrate. Clearly he was a jerk with few morals, but sorry to say, neither the dems, nor the Liberals have a lock on that!

    Let's hope they get the right person. We had a murder here it took 33 years to solve. It got solved but only because the killer's daughter came forth and testified that she had seen the whole event. This politican seems to be the only link so far. At least the young lady's family know where she is even as painful as it is. May God uplift them in their hour of sorrow.

    Seems kind of strange that they found the remains in a place that had been extensively searched following her disappearance. Something fishy here? Perhaps.

    Glad they found her remains, anyway. Now the family knows for sure that she is gone and can give her a Christian burial and mourn. Now they can move on with their lives.

    If it WAS Condit, or he had people do the deed for him, and this can be proven, I hope they fry the sucker.

    I guess it's fishy: But the DC police sure got a pass on this one.Had they gotten the tapes when they were suppost to from the building, before they re-cycled, they would have known a long time ago. They had 7 days and they waited 10 days.So now we kick Condit around because there is no one else. Look at the old footage of his driver. That is who I would be watching.

    That noone smelled a decomposing body in all this time and that the area had been thoroughly searched, suggests the body was moved. Interesting though, a Walkman was found in the remains. I wonder if the bones of the baby Condit fetus were also found.
    If Levy were killed by a mugger and disappeared there should be evidence of Condits' inquiries since they were lovers.

    My thoughts exactly, this park was thoroughly searched. If the body decomposed in the park, near a trail, somone would have detected it, especially if someone on the trail could see bones from the trail...doesn't make sense to me.

    The park is WAY to big to be searched inch by inch. It's also very rugged in many parts and extends well into Maryland too. I am familiar with the area and its got huge 30 degree drop maybe 1500 feet long and at the bottom of the drop is a small creek. Across the creek is a 2-lane road that is heavy traveled. The paths are all mostly down along the creek so heading up that wooded incline is not attractive to hikers or recreational walkers. It was a good place for someone to hide the poor woman. I really pray they find the perpetrator but since it happened in DC NO WAY WILL THEY GET THE DEATH PENALTY and it's a disgrace. RG

    Condit's home free! In fact I'm waiting right now for his vindication speech!! The press convicted him without a trial...He was just an innocent man who got a little side action from some slutty little intern and because of that his whole life was ruined. He'll say with a straight face that she was probably out jogging and some bad muggers used her and killed her. Poor girl very very sad...Oh well he lost his house seat but he'll probably try and run again on the Vindication Party ticket. Now he can join that select group of celebrities that murdered and got away with it. OJ, Teddy K, and now him.....He could probably go on the talk show circuit and make a million. After Levy's mother crucified him in the papers for months he can probably twist the knife in her by telling some of the dirty tabloid shows about all the dirty things Shandra would do for him at the drop of a hat....certainly he'll view it as payback time. After this much time I'm doubting that there will be much evidence unless of course he dropped his Congressional Parking Pass at the scene. Beach
