On a chinese SKS is there a way of determining wheather or not it is pre-ban?thanks for any info.

    Mine came with a Fixed magazine but I bought it used. I want to know if it is preban or not to see if I can put on a Bayonet and a folding stock.?

    when they first came out we bought them with the spike bayonets and found that they worked great for sticking the guns in the ground while checking your targets. sold mine to a buddy when the short version came out with no bayonet. looks neat but my old one shot better groups.

    I have a short SKS, so-called "paratrooper" model. After several years of looking I finally found a bayonet for it. Real cute little dude.I doubt it would stick clear through a full-sized man, though. Might have to walk around back and jab the rest of the hole from the other side.
