Went to the gun show at the county fairgrounds. Prices on powder were pretty good in my opinion. Picked up some CFE223 for 25 bucks a pound. You just had to look because the table 50ft away wanted 30. Lots of 22lr and prices ranged from decent to Sandyhook hay day. Best price I found was 32 bucks for 550 Winchester bulk.

Bought me another LT Wright knife.

Finally after 3 months a local gun show worth going to. Ventura, Ca. Ever since LA county drove out "The Great Western" gun show, they have been pretty scarce in this neck of the woods. Sept 7 and 8. Nothing quite like a gun show to make you forget about your troubles for a while. That Great Western was something though, over 5000 tables. Ventura is a good little show. Can't wait.

I hope everybody in mid-Michigan has the chance to visit the 45th Annual Gun Show. We're back at the Civic Arena in Midland and the show is on Saturday April 3 and Sunday April 4. We've got 500 tables of "gun stuff", not the Avon bottles and barbie dolls that the Birch Run show calls a gun show. It's sponsored by the Midland County Sportsman's Club and you won't be disappointed.

Just got back, nothing to realy say much about, except the dealers were crying the blues, no one spending money, I ask several the question "Why should we pay those prices " 80 percent were above book. And as usual my stuff was "worthless" and their stuff was "Priceless"[:0]

Did manage to walk out with a Rem 870, wood stock ,with three chokes in 12 guage, for a pistol I had 140.00 in, so dont feel too bad about the day.[:p][:0]

Went to a collector show today, nice show, got some ammo boxes and a general shaver 1911 mag for my Remington rand, and I also picked up a L & IJ White 1837 buffalo N.Y. #16 meat cleaver. Does anyone know anything about these cleavers? It was one of those things that was just cool and I had to have! Any info would be great.

Went to gun show in E TN this weekend. Very relaxed and subdued/ Reminded me of the 1980's before panic and irresponsibility ruled. The business models of the nineties and Obama days have given way to a gun culture that could build to a sustainable sport that attracts reasonable and prudent enthusiast that can carry my passion to the next generations. Who would have thought this three years ago? Praise be to GOD

I just got home from the show. It was the best show I have ever been to, here in ST.Louis. There was at least 500 tables and no beanie babies.[:D]I ended up with a Mosian Nagant M44 with a sling, oil can, tools and a double leather pouch for a 120.00 bucks. The seller said it was never issued/fired. It looks like new and still has cosmoline residue in some places.

Went to the good sized nearby show this morning with the usual guys. It was pretty crowded--more than usual. I wonder if the recent political talk had something do with it. I bought an old Mossberg 46B .22 rifle at a pretty good price. One of the guys I was with bought one, too; his is a 152.

It was a dud, no good deals, no steals. Even the NcStar table was selling their wears for twice what you can get them for on the internet. Honestly, it was a waste of 3 dollars.

Todays show wasnt nothing to brag about.. dealers with the typical attitude of "Mine is priceless and yours is Worthless" with 99% of the guns 100 bucks over book, or local retail..They seem to think, if your not behind one of the tables your stupid..OH well none of em got my money..Did manage to get this little North American Arms Mini Master though from a Guy I know, who was just walking around like I was.. Thats where the real deals are, from the people that bring guns in to deal with..[;)]
