Subject: Flags Across America To show those terrorists that we Americans stick together, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 is "Flags Across America." All Americans are asked to display the American flag either in their homes or cars. Let's keep the meaning of UNITED in "United States". Pass this onto as many people as you know. THANK YOU.

My neighborhood isn't waiting til Friday. There are 51 homes in this development and I'll guarantee you that 45 of 'em have flags flying. The other 6 probably aren't home. Went to Wally World today and must have run across 10 people looking for the "flag" department. I went over to take a look and the shelf was EMPTY. Even the stick on flags in the automotive dept. were gone.I LOVE IT!!!!Mudge

My Flag was stolen on the 4th of July, went out to get a new one and there were none to be had at Wally World here either ... clerk said more would hopefully be here by Thursday.

My flag is up every single day at sunrise and goes down every evening (I don't have a spotlight). I also take it down during bad weather. I'm not trying to say anything against the other guys' posts or when they choose to fly the flag, but I am ALWAYS proud to be an American and my flag will fly every day until I die..

Ditto: We proudly fly the flag on the pole in our front yard everyday of the year. Have been doing it for over 30 years, lots of positive comments from friends, neighbors and even passing strangers. As I live opposite a city owned tennis court, they supply the light, lol. (They leave security lights on all night). Our flag was lowered to half mast at once after this horrible attack on our country. God Bless America! I contacted the NYC Police Dept to offer my services to them as a police officer (retired) and was told to stand by the phone, they will be calling..[This message has been edited by njretcop (edited 09-13-2001).]
