I have seen this quote several times now. Is there any proof of this statement that you know of? LEOs, do you know of any truth to this?
Seems to me this would make the National News every time it occured.
I just don't believe that 1 in 5 Police Officers are slain with an "Assualt Weapon".
But if you think about it, if a cop is shot, then the weapon that was used in the assualt, with a play on words, would be an "Assualt Weapon".

That quote is from a bill introduced into the Georgia State Legislature; I just skimmed it, but it looks like a clear example of how those pushing for gun control are willing to tell bald-faced lies. The bill is essentially an attempt to ban all semi-auto firearms in GA.
