Where can I find a S&W 9mm mag? Prefer S&W factory mags. Are the aftermarket mags any good? And do the S&W factory mags work properly each time every time?

tr,You don't say what S&W series mags you're looking at--the most common is the "59 series" (they fit the 5906, 5904, etc. and guns like Kel-Tec's, and the Marlin Camp 9.I've found that the factory mags are excellent--but they only made them up to 15 rounds. If you want 30-rounders you're looking at aftermarket and they can sometimes be problematic. The "taper" at the top of the magazine where the double column of rounds are forced to a single column is designed poorly--excessive friction is created that can lead to feeding problems. The same "taper" exists on the S&W factory clips, but the lesser number of rounds and quality springs and followers keep them functioning well.I have 30-rounders that I use which I've gotten to work 100% (None for sale.)I have a number of new 59-series factory S&W 15-rounders which I'd sell, but not at a price much better than you can order them elsewhere. (I've got a number of guns they'll fit, so I'm not too motivated to sell my extras.)competentone@hotmail.com
