Am new to this caliber (!) and gotta ask, is $80 plus shipping a good price for 1000 rounds of boxer primed surplus?

Without any more information about the ammo than that, and assuming there are no serious drawbacks in the details, that is a very good price for a case of 1000 rounds of .308 in my opinion. The only ammo I would always avoid is of the corrosive variety, or somebody's reloads.

They say that it is non-corrosive, boxer primed. $105 plus shipping for their best grade, $89 for same stuff but with some discoloration and possible light corrosion, and $80 for unsorted, which will include the good, the discolored, and possibly a few unuseable rounds... but at that price I'm willing to take the risk and sort it myself. Worst comes to worst I pull the unuseable stuff and reload.

Aim has 1000/$140 portugese non-corr nato man. 1980's. I've used it in my M1A and CETME and it works great. If I remember correctly,as I have about 4 different brands, it is reloadable. www.aimsurplus.com Sale ends Mar. 15[This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 03-04-2002).][This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 03-04-2002).]
