My skeet instructor calls this rifle syndrom and currently has me consentrating on follow threw such as a golf swing. After daily dry practice at home and 300 rounds of not really caring if I hit the clay or not it starts to seem as if I can't miss and follow threw is becoming natural. So I would say practice focusing only on follow threw.drawn

I have seen instructors work on this with BB guns and thrown ping pong balls. Focus first on follow through, then on hitting. Cheaper.

The way I broke myself of that habit was to concentrate on the swing and less on the target. I'd start my swing about 10ft. behind the target and think about ending my swing about 10ft in front of the target. I would pull the trigger as I came across the target without really concentrating on it or even worry about having it centered in the sights. I would shoot with both eyes open rather than squinting down on that little bead. Again, practice, practice, practice.
