Remington 878 semi-auto -- price?

One of those guns in the classifieds this week, if it's not already gone, is a "rare" Remington 878 semi-auto. Anybody know anything about this gun? What it should cost? How many rounds it holds? Is it reliable with a particular kind of ammo? Does the mag extender for Rems fit it? Thanks in advance.

May be "rare" but ive never seen more than $200 for a clean one. They take mod58 barrels and parts. I think they were an economy model 58.
