    I had 4 of these - 2 in 44 Mag and 2 in 357.

    Magnaported all of them, and they were sweet.

    I'd guess it would more pleasant than shooting one of those newer high power jobs, but then it's probably more pleasant than being hit by a Pete or KW.

    Had a Travino 2 inch 44mag, a couple years ago. No problem shooting it. You just have to let the gun come up with the recoil. If you try to hold it down, it'll hurt you.

    Here's a picture of one of my favorites, a Astra Terminator .44 Mag.with a 2& 3/4" barrel.I'm 5' 6'' and weigh 158 lbs. and have no trouble handling it.[^]

    It's amazing what the proper engineering can do for recoil issues. Reeder Custom Guns can put a .300 Win Mag barrel on your T/C Contender that will be tame as a lamb and highly managable. Well....maybe not a lamb but very managable.
