This has nothing to do with guns,
But does anyone know what the differance is between a motorcycle that has Forward controls and one that doesn't?

Foward controls mean that the shifter and break are mounted foward on the frame. It lets you ride with your legs streched out to be comfortable or cool.

Road bike fix that lets you ride with legs extended while using shifter, etc?

Forward controls are when the Brake and Shifter are mounted approx. where the bend in the front of the frame is. Legs in an out stretched position.

One that doesn't have them are level with the bottom of the frame. Legs in a sitting position.

Forward controls have been shown to cause neurasthenia in laboratory rats.

No disadvantage in forward controls if you like to ride with your feet on the highway pegs all the time. I DO ride stretched-out on the highway pegs all the time but my bike DOESN'T have forward controls. It doesn't bother me at all reaching back to shift gears or use the back brake. It's all just a personal preference. If you'd rather ride sitting up straight with your feet on the lower pegs then the forward controls might be more of a hassle.

Tried 'em. Don't like 'em. I've got such long legs that they change the balance point and make it uncomfortable to ride. Not dangerous, just not what I'm used to. Hell, my legs are so long I can reach the standard controls from the passenger seat of my Road Toad.
