Harrisburg Gun Show Parking Fee

Well, that sucks...The guy from M.A.A.C. says the State will be collecting $5 per car to park. He also says that M.A.A.C. has worked a deal with the vendors that if you spend "X" amount (he didn't say how much) that your $5 would be refunded. Don't know if that's an amount spent with 1 dealer or a cumulative amount for your total $$$$'s for the day.Guess we'll find out.Mudge the pi$$ed

You can always:- Park offsite and walk in.- Park a few blocks away and take a bus/cab.- Refuse to go.- Pay the parking fee in pennies. Just imagine if EVERYONE did this. The state would have to pay for an armored dumptruck to collect their fees!

I just went past the farm show. The parking lot was full of construction. The farm show parking will be off site and a bus will shuttle participants for events like the farm show and sportsmans show. I am going to park at the college and walk.

Yes, where are we to meet? I will even get the day off to go. After all, it's only $5. And admission, food, drinks, ammo, guns, cleaning supplies, accesories, etc.... (Maybe I can't afford it after all?)

You guys are trying to take advantage of my normally passive nature with your damn parking fee whining. We'd better meet inside. If we meet outside, before Matthew and Charlie pay their admission, we'll have to listen to THAT whining, too. Besides, I just read a post the says I'm a terrorist for defending the Constitution so you'd better watch your backs!Mudge the threatening

O well, Mom always said that I wouldn't amount to anything.BTW, Ms NJRETCOP (who isn't coming, hooray) gave me the money for parking, so there! Now if I could just get the gas money from her..... -Charlie, the Constitutional terrorist

Any place I go where there might be parking fee I take my bicycle in the back of my pickup. Park out & ride in. Even helps to avoid the walk in from the parking lot.

Another activity going on is not a problem. The place is huge and has 3 or 4 large arenas. As far as security goes...just the usual. No loaded weapons even if you have a permit for concealed carry. If I remember correctly, no cameras either. (You'd think they'd want people to take pictures of all the terrorists who are buying truckloads of guns there.) I don't know which hall they'll be holding it in so I can't suggest a place to meet. I'll call the guy tomorrow and see what else I can find out. Are we taking what ought to be a very simple project and turning into a complex one?Matthew....Mudge the "concierge", huh? Been thumbing thru them French books again, I see.Mudge the linguist
