Did you ever decide on a .45?

Hey Simon, are you refering to the Rock Island armory deal?No I didn't go for it,I was too late on the draw to get it at the lowest price.I've decided, for now,to use my S+W .357 for a trail gun when hiking in the mountains and I'm saving up cash to buy a Hechler and Koch UMC .45 carbine.I guess if I came across a .45 too good to pass up I'd snatch it up though.Do you know anything about them Hi-points,seems to me that you get what you pay for, especially with firearms and them Hi-points don't cost much, buyer beware I guess,Josey

Josey, you will be disappointed with a HiPoint.

Don't know anything about HiPoint..357 is deffinetly an adequate trail gun though.

Depends on what you expect to meet on the trail.Mine is a S&W 29 loaded with Cor-Bon 305 grain, steel core. Cor-Bon calls it "The Penetrator". Should be adequate. Or maybe even overkill. Mudge the Boy Scout
