'MILLION GUN MARCH' MOVES AHEAD!By Rick Stanley - U.S. Senate Candidate Senate Candidate, Rick Stanley "As the organizer/activist for the national Bill of Rights Rallies, (see www.stanley2002.org), that are starting to grow in number across the country, I want to announce the creation of a new rally slated for July 4, 2003 at "high noon," in Washington, D.C. at the Mall area between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. This rally is called the Million Gun March and will be the culmination of 20 months of Bill of Rights rallies that started in Denver, on December 15, 2001, on the 210th birthday of the signing of the Bill of Rights. On December 15, 2001, I was arrested for violating an unconstitutional Denver Revised Municipal Code chapter 38-117(b), that doesn't allow anyone to keep and bear arms in the City and County of Denver, Colorado. At the end of a 20 minute speech about the Second Amendment, and what it means to Americans, in a well publicized act of civil disobedience, I put a loaded pistol in a belt holster and was promptly arrested by elements of the SWAT team, mounted police, uniformed and undercover police from Denver. Twenty-eight hours later, I was released from the Denver city jail after posting bond and this law will be contested before a jury trial on May 7, 2002, in courtroom 151P, in Denver county court. The Bill of Rights Rallies demand the repeal of all unconstitutional laws at all levels of government. A petition will be started on the Stanley for Senate website, (see www.stanley2002.org), beginning April 15, 2002, specifically demanding certain unconstitutional laws be repealed and abolished before the Million Gun March at Washington, D.C. on July 4, 2003. Signers for the petition will be not only making the demands to repeal and abolish certain laws, but will be attesting to their personal guarantee to attend the Million Gun March armed with a rifle, a pistol and ammunition for their personal weaponry. The march will only be held, if at least one million signatures from Americans across the nation, guarantee their presence at the march. The United States government will be notified monthly, starting May 15, 2002, with a copy of the petition as a lawful redress of grievances from "We the People". Failure by the government to comply with the petition by July 4, 2003, may result in the activation of the "2nd American Revolution Militia", from the individual citizens of the "Million Gun March", to insure that the current U.S. government will comply with the boundaries outlined in the Constitution. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will be the authorizing documents of this action. Should this action become a necessity of the people of the United States of America, at the Million Gun March, I would appeal to the United States Military and the various police agencies in attendance on that day, to join with your Constitutional brethren to insure the compliance of YOUR government. The main issues of the petition will be:1. Over 20,000 gun laws that violate the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms in any way Americans wish as long as they cause no harm to another except in defense of person, home and property, must be abolished.2. Abolish the USA Patriot Act, and replace it with a new act, that does not violate the Constitution in any way.3. Abolish the IRS administered income tax, and if need be, replace it with a constitutional tax within the boundaries outlined in the Constitution.4. Abolish the Federal Reserve System administered by the gang of twelve international banks, that unconstitutionally have looted the gold and silver standard from the American people, which is guaranteed by the Constitution, which has enslaved future generations of Americans, through the income tax, to pay for the fraudulent and corrupt money system that politicians have unlawfully and unconstitutionally given away at the expense of all Americans' birthrights.5. Abolish and end all search and seizure laws that violate the Fourth Amendment including but not limited to:a) Airport security - American citizens and pilots must be guaranteed their Second Amendment rights on all domestic flights.b) All asset forfeiture laws applied to Americans for any reason which violates the Fourth Amendment must be abolished. c) All other forfeitures including guns, taxes. etc.God be with us all.Rick Stanley, U.S. Senate Candidate from Colorado for the Libertarian Party"The plain meaning of the right of the people to keep arms is that it is an individual, rather than a collective, right and is not limited to keeping arms while engaged in active military service or as a member of a select militia such as the National Guard." - U.S. vs. Emerson, 5th Circuit Federal Court, published October 16, 2001 http://www.armedfemalesofamerica.com/archive.php?aid=374

It's all well and good for this guy to go poking holes in the air with his finger.....BUT.....He, obviously, has no idea what the mall looks like on the 4th of July to begin with. There are ALREADY over a million people there to hear the concert and watch the fireworks. While I applaud his intentions, I must question his grasp of reality. Mudge the realist

Well, I applaud the concept, anyway. A march of SOME kind on Washington, under the banner he offers, might not be a bad idea, tho carrying loaded guns make our masters nervous.

Guys who dream this big need to pick one thing to concentrate on. He has included his entire worldview in his statement of principles and thereby comes off sounding like a crank. While you might well negotiate a million gunowner march on Washington D.C. (arms are not necessary to make the point) you sure as heck are not going to attach a rider to ("oh by the way") abolish the income tax while you're at it. This guy might as well be part of a liberal disinformation plot for all the good he'll do us. This is more zany than sensible, I'm sad to say.

Offeror, I agree... the concept is great...but he is trying to defeat to many foes with on stone. he starts to sound to much like a crazy fanatic. I think he could realisticaly accomplish much more, if he focused on a few important items that could pave the way for broader reforms....I shudder to think about the law of averages that point to the one in a million chance of an "accidental discharge" that would set the wheels in motion for major political turmoil that may go against the point of such a march. How would such a catastrophy help our plight, if anti gun lobbyiests made a heyday of any probable mishap?

Mandating "Condition Three" carry would be best, but how would you enforce it? Our more stubborn members won't listen to anyone. And I have little doubt the freedom haters would put a "ringer" in the crowd to make sure there was an AD.

No one of sound mind would advocate carrying a weapon to this thing? Get caught and not only would the law put you UNDER the jail, it would give the "gun-grabbers" and their journalist allies an incredible PR coup.Mudge the cautious
