Thur. I took my wife out for lunch for her birthday. Well we went shopping for her a present and while in the city, we decided to check out some new appliances for the house. I had aimed on buying 2 new refrigs and a new freezer so we went to H H Gregg where we have bought appliances from before. The young salesman showed me some refrigs and I saw a BIG freezer I wanted so we began to deal. Well H H Gregg deals really well and I bought the 2 refrigs and the freezer(biggest chest type freezer they had, man will it hold a lot of DEER meat). As he was checking me out the topic turned to politics being a political commericial came on the TVs in the store which we were near. He stated he does not care who you are for, get it over with and stop all the stupid campaigning. Well I mentioned I was voting for the lesser of 2 evils and it was Bush. I told him why and he stated he was a Kerry supportor. Like we agreed, there is no sence in trying to change anyones minds so stop the stupid commericials. Like I stated, those that say they are undecided have already made up their minds, they are just excerising their right to say they do not know who they are voting for. Like that young man stated, LETS STOP ALL THE STUPID COMMERICIALS AND GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!

In a age of multi-media why do the tax payers of the usa put up with all this spending on tv,newspapers, and all this junk. All I ask is tell me the truth and just do it. What ever happened to Honesty in Office???

I would have asked for a new salesperson. I am unwilling to fund Kerry OR his supporters in ANY way.

But, then, I won't go to movies with actors/actresses/producers/directors, etc that have been NRA blacklisted. I won't buy Pepsi or Sara Lee products because they support PETA and Humane society, and, of course, NO Heinz Ketchup.

    jj,
Ya, ya, political stuff.....whatever.....now on to the important stuff. [;)]
You bought a chest freezer? Why? Just wondering.
I found that I would loose stuff for YEARS in a chest freezer.
The bending over to move things around, is hard on my back, now days.
I like an upright, NOT saying things don't get lost in there,
but I don't find myself piling stuff up on an upright, like I do a chest. [B)]

Did this post work to change the political lean on this thread? [}:)] [;)] [:D]

Yeah, I agree! The chest freezer is fine if you are young and slim. Once you get a few years and inches under your belt the uprights are the only way to go! I'm voting for the upright.

Pickenup, I usually can get more in a chest freezer than the uprights. I will put any where from 5 to 10 deer a year in the freezer. We eat deer like it is going out of style. I am also going to buy at least one hog and maybe 2 this year depending on how many deer we kill. On top of that I still have the buffalo hunt that I usually get in on! I keep 2 freezers full each year but one of mine went bad this year. Cannot complain though, it was over 20 years old. My uncle gave it to me 10 years ago and he had had it for over 10 years himself! What I really want is a commericial walk in freezer but just cannot justify the expence. Some day though, maybe when the last of my kids leave the nest I will get one. As to bending over, I have 3 tenagers who need to earn their keep some way![;)]

OK, I agree that you can fit more in a chest,
and since you have 3 "eating machines" still at home, you NEED the extra.
    20 years ain't too bad.

Roger2fan....the TAX PAYERS have little to do with how much is spent on campaigns. There ain't no taxpayer $$$ involved. It's donated money.

    Mudge the donor
