Dano, The 3X Loser . . .

Dano,I've respected a lot of your posts and I really hope you are BS'ing us and just stirring the pot (or smoking it) on the 3x convicted felon and being a LEO thing that you expressed in the topic "Are we just better than they are??" [ http://forums.gunbroker.com/images/Forum3/HTML/009289.html ].You stated that "actually, I'm a three-time convicted felon. I was able to get into law enforcement because I had a friend on the inside. I was told that if I keep my nose clean for 30 years, they'll wipe my record clean." You then went on to say that "I served my 15 years as a model inmate, and was released on early parole. The family that I victimized forgave me, and even came to my parole hearing to speak on my behalf. My friend "on the inside" is also a parolee. It is because of his understanding of my situation, that he was able to doctor up my entrance exams for the police force.Closing, I would like to say, that I have paid my debt to society, and I should be given a chance to become a productive member of our society."Nunn then forgave you, and offered up his sister -- in jest, I hope. after several other comments, you said "It looks as if I spoke too soon. I was hoping to find compassion and understanding on this forum. Maybe I'm just ahead of my time. But, to make matters right, I will open myself to a vote, by this forum, by the members. If you all vote and should decide that I am not worthy of a badge and a gun, I will abide by your decision, and turn them in.All that I ask in return, is that you justify your vote by explaining why you voted as you did."Now, Dano, you explaining your 3 felonies alone could take a very long time, with appeals and such. Then you gotta explain how you and/or your friend(s) lied and/or broke the law so that you might become a LEO. You might as well start now.

I REALLY think Dano is stirrin. And if he aint, I REALLY want a M16 with a M203 and LOTS of ammo, you got the connections, right?Anyway, as I understand it a convicted felon is barred from EVER being able to be in possession of a firearm. Unless he has a pardon - maybe he does know billiary. I once worked with a guy who got busted for pot and 20 years later, he still can't legally own a firearm.

As for Dano,I for one, don't have a problem with your paying your debt to society, once you have done that your entitled to resume life among the ranks of law abiding citizens.Problem is, by your confession you doctored documents that resulted in favorable treatment to yourself, worse yet, the guy that helped you was a parolee on the inside. What does that mean? To me as I read it, he (your bud) must have had his application and entrance doc's doctored up also.Imagine a parolee, wearing a uniform and carrying a gun, to enforce the laws, (he has been breaking from god nows how long ago); and then having to go visit his parole officer in uniform while on duty. All police officers ought to be of the highest integrity; to lie, delete, exclude, omit, disallow, or doctor any document while applying for a position that requires INTEGRITY as the most desireable quality, should be autimatically disqualified and barred from serving as a peace officer. There is nothing to assure the citizenry, that such an individual would execute his job in an honest fashion worthy of the profession and furthermore gives the same profession a black eye.The last president lied and thats his legacy with the American people, he will always be remembered as a liar. What garauntees do we have you'll turn the badge in. Nobody will believe you anyhow

OK, this has got to be a load of Danosaur Crap, but I'll proceed as if it's not!If Dano really is a 3x loser: Any lawyer with half a brain could probably win the release of most of the criminals whose case Dano was actively involved in. Whatever integrity Dano has as an officer of the law is easily compromised by anyone who has this information and wishes to use it against him. (can you say BLACKMAIL) Every time he straps on his service weapon he is in violation of the law and should be punished accordingly. There are SERIOUS flaws in the screening procedures used by some law enforcement agencies. (probably most) Anyone willing to make a pivotal life decision based on the input of the anonymous fingers of this forum is a complete fool and should not be in possession of ANY weapons.(box knives, scissors, fingernail clippers, etc.)I sure hope Dano & Nunn are just havin' some laughs at our expense or I've lost a ton of respect for LEOs.

Dano,as a newcomer to these posts I am not always sure what is B.S. and what is not.But as a recovering alcoholic/drug addict I am bound to reply in total honesty.Part of the "gun problem" in this country is the fact that existing laws are not enforced. If it is true that you are a convicted felon, you are prohibited from even owning a handgun, let alone carrying one as a LEO.As to your doctoring of paperwork to become one,I find it hard to believe that the required background check did not expose your past transgressions.I can only assume that you are therefore the only LEO in a small town where no one else wanted the job. Say it aint so Dano!! But if it is so,they don't give you any bullets,do they? Or maybe just one to carry in your pocket like Barney Fife.We gotta nip it in the bud,Dano, nip it in the bud!!

DANO- Your marijuana "I was just holding for a friend" excuse is laughable. That is what everyone who gets busted for dope possession says. But even so, you should not complain. The system you work for regularly seizes property of innocent bystanders who just so happend to have drug users on or in their property.

DanoSay no more, you are in denial, and in your nightmares, no doubt, you probably your trying to dream yourself innocent.I suppose you would have us believe that you didn't know your friend was a dealer (16 lbs) either, aside from trying to pass off you didn't know, what you were holding. As for your lady friends?, what can I say, you seem to gravitat to the criminal element, cause you wanted to.I disagree with the statement that in order to be a good LEO, and be able to do your job well you must be a criminal, That is irrational. If you have really turned a new leaf, fess up to your superiors, you'll feel better, and your nightmares will end, and you'll praise the forgiving ways of people that undestand. The reason you ought to do this is to keep other ex criminal type elements from doctoring papers to get on this Department, that seems to have lax hiring policies. Florida is coming out of Police scandels, wherein criminal elements had been hired as LEO's, who murdered law abiding citizens and drug dealers, and traffikd in drugs, because of these hiring practices.I still wish you the best... Dano, You just ain"t right!!!!!!Three time loser.....16 lbs pot......Pimping ain't easy.....Last crime too horrible......Stop it!! Stop it!! My sides are killing me!! ROFLMAO!!!!I concede, I pass back to you the title of Head Pot Stirrer.OBTW, Lets assume you started young and was 20, that makes you roughly 35-40 when you are paroled. Lets say you have been on the force 25 years, that would make you roughly 60-65 now. Foot chases MUST be in Sam Peckinpeh(sp) slow motion!

Dano -The first response was so transparent I couldn't believe anyone fell for it. I almost said then what I'll say in a minute, but decided to keep my mouth shut (there's a first time for *everything*) until it played out to see how many suckers you'd add to the string. ICE NINE, salzo, et. al. - Quick, look at the word "gullible" painted on the ceiling! Be grateful that dano is wearing a badge, 'cause otherwise he'd be selling you the new ocean front condos in Nebraska. Speaking of which, I have those brochures around here somewhere . . . . LOL, dano, good stir.

218Beekeep- Let iconclast have his fun. He obviously has something to prove to himself. How Iconclast jumps to his conclusions is beyond me, but it is difficult to understand how such a simple mind works.

I'm fine as always Mr. dano. And yourself?Been busy cleaning weapons lately - have to remember that if you take 7 or 8 guns out to the range you got to clean them all (sigh).Taught mom to shoot (well little brother did - am not patient enough) and now she owns a nice little Remington .22 rifle with scope.Problem is we showed her how to shoot the .22 Beretta and I might have a fight on my hands to keep that gun.You take care of yourself now you hear?

Salzo, I'm sorry that you took offense, but as to 'jumping to conclusions' it was such an obvious troll ("stir" to use dano's terminology) that I was amazed so many normally level-headed posters bought into it. And on their face, your posts certainly were indicative of you being in that group. My comments were meant to tease in a friendly way ('kid', 'rib' or whatever term you might choose), not to insult or 'flame' . . . although the tone of your subsequent response suggests an insufficiency of the epidermis stemming from the realization one has been had. As to my intellectual capacity and emotional security, you're entitled to your opinion.

ICONCLAST- I did not take offense to your post, but I did not fall for the Dano trickery, and I do not understand why you took what I said as proof that I fell for it. Dano and I had been having a little fun on a few other posts, and I just checked in on this and offered a little comment about what he said. I did not even read all of the posts, and I had no idea that he was representing that comment as truth(not that any of this really matters)Anyway, my apologies Iconclast.
