Sorry to disappoint you BeeKeep, all the travel is work related, no glamour there. Worked as a chairman for GWB's campaign during the last election. I was hoping for an appointment as "Secretary of Deer Hunting" after he won....but I think he's kinda busy right now. Rembrandt is just an ordinary tax payer.

Rembrandt.......HMMMMM7 foreign countries, eh. I had a friend who bragged about visiting a lot of foreign countries. Coincidentally, shortly after he left a country, some sort of civil disturbances against the local government always seemed to break out. HMMMMM.Mudge
I can't come to work today. The voices said, STAY HOME AND CLEAN THE GUNS!

N.E. Kansas back in the hills where the hoot owls do weird things with the chickens. This is not your usual idea of Kansas. Lots of timber with big deer and many turkeys and other game.

For the time being in a little town that used to be about 30 miles west of Rochester,NY. Keywords in that sentence "for the time being"& "used to be". Looking for a place a bit less crowded and a lot more gun owner friendly. Any suggestions? The upper midwest looks like pretty country and I do like the four seasons.

If you like the four seasons, and don't want to go too crazy with the move, I would recommend migrating a 100-150 miles to the south. The Northern Tier of Pennsylvania is uncrowded, gun friendly, and we deliver four seasons.Pretty much everywhere in Pennsylvania except the Philadelphia Area is nice, even twenty miles outside of Pittsburgh you can get into some nice living.
When you want to dial long distance...AT&T, .223, or Jeremiah 33.3?

I've looked at the area's around Bradford and Erie. The move would be an easy one considering your non-resident CCW's. I also like the fact your property taxes are about 1/2 of what mine are.

Mudge, afraid I'm going to disappoint you and BeeKeeper. My life isn't that exciting, just happen to live in hotel rooms about 100+ nights each year for work related travel. Most of the overseas trips are pretty boring, lots of waiting in airports, trying to find luggage, and making travel arrangements. After you've eaten at every food chain joint and lived out of your luggage.....home looks pretty good. The only excitement is finding a new gun shop or shooting range to visit. Sometimes I make it home just long enough to do laundry and pay the bills.....then it's off to the next stop. [This message has been edited by Rembrandt (edited 10-13-2001).]

The address on my driver's license says Glasgow, Delaware, but the last couple of years I have been travelling in the mountain areas of western Pennsylvania and Maryland. I work 12 1/2 hour night shifts, 3 days a week and have arranged my schedule to work Thurs, Fri, and Sat one week and Sun, Mon, and Tues the next. That way I work six nights and am then off eight. TEXAS? isn't that also known as Baja Oklahoma?DB

Barnrat - If you move, don't bother stopping below the mountains. The @#$%^ Masshole infection is well above the Lakes Region now & they still commute to Bahston / 128 every day. Man, I would not mind if some raghead took out the bridges on 93 & 3.
