south florida gun show a dissapointment

Unfortunately, My first gun show, will probably be my last. I remember hearing tales of gun shows with hundredes of tables, good deals, and interesting people. This show had about 150 tables, and they were all dealers. NICS checks all over the place, and even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have been able to take anything home because I would still have to wait 5 days. I guess the grabbers have managed to close the "gun show loop hole" down here. I can honestly say it was a complete waste of time. After the show I went back to my local gun shop and bought my second rifle. a new SAR-1. Picking it up tomorrow.

    pikeal1:Two problems with the show you went to,Dade and Broward counties have Dealer only shows,with waiting periods on long-guns simular to the county Tampa is in.The second problem is, the promoter of that show is one of the worst in the state.I do shows for myself(private sales)on occasion,but usually work for a dealer,all over the state.I`ll be with Century Arms this weekend at Ft Myers Harborside.You just need to get out of that county for a show..those yankees(the ones with voting problems) have ruined your county even worse than they have mine.Here is the best promoter in the state,with schedules www.suncoastgunshows.com .218

    Bee, did you do the last one at the Pinellas Expo Center? You know the one with the room split in half and the other half was a girls basketball or volleyball playoff?Probably my last time there. I had 4 people tell me that the one at the Fairgrounds was a bust also.

    Win37:Yes,I was at the Expo Center with Century Arms,those highschool jock gals are a loud bunch!Seems you once told me you live just north of that place.Were you there...I probably tried to sell you a gun.The show at Tampa,we wade good money for the shop.Pikeal:The FT MYERS,and Lakeland shows are good Suncoast shows,I work all of them..218
