My friend just told me that he saw on Cnn the other day that some boy in Pakistan was convicted of gang rape and his punishment for the crime was the court sentenced his sister to be gang raped.Did anyone see this and is it true?And if it is what the hell is that about why not sentence him to be gang raped.

I still believe the old methods would work best. If you get caught stealing then you loose a hand, if you kill someone then you are excuted, if you assualt someone then you get assualted and if you rape someone then you loose your tool. The world be a lot safer place.

Yes it's true, but the facts are wrong. The boy was convicted by tribal council for walking unchaperoned with a girl from a different tribe not gang rape. The punishment was passed by tribal council according to tribal laws. The punishment was meant to shame the family. Four council members carried out the sentence while hundreds of people stood outside cheering and laughing. The Pakistani police are looking for these men now to be arrested and charged under criminal law. Pakistan has a tradition of tribal justice in which crimes are punished outside the law. A terrible crime committed and hard to stop as most Pakistani's respect tribal law over gov't law.
